Year 2011 has been one of learning and growth in DOT Rwanda. The ReachUp! program has scaled up to reach more communities and have great impact on the Rwandan people. DOT Rwanda has also recently launched it's advanced business skills program the StartUp! which is currently being delivered in three centers within Kigali, equipping micro entrepreneurs, youth and skills to make it in business.
In this blog we share with you pictures highlighting major activities of the year 2011 at DOT Rwanda.
In March 2011 DOT Rwanda hosted the Regional Facilitator Learning Experience which brought together teams from DOT Global, DOT Ethiopia, DOT Kenya and DOT Rwanda.
March 2011: DOT Rwanda held a grand ReachUp! Graduation that brought together over 360 community beneficiaries from the Nyarugenge, Kicukiro and Gasabo Districts of Kigali City. More here
February - May 2011: DOT Rwanda recruited and trained 20 ReachUp! interns under the funding of the MasterCard Foundation. More here.
In June 2011: DOT Rwanda held the Graduation of it's first team of 15 ReachUp! Interns who had trained over 1600 participants in the three Districts of Kigali. More here.
In June and August 2011, DOT Rwanda recruited new staff. More on this here
In August 2011: DOT Rwanda launched the Envaya partnership to provide web presence to partners and beneficiaries. More on this here.
September - October 2011: DOT Rwanda recruited, trained and deployed StartUp! Interns. More on this story here.
In October 2011, DOT Rwanda participated in the Kicukiro Joint Action Forum for Development Exhibition, held over three days. More on this story here.
October - November 2011: DOT Rwanda recruited and trained 59 ReachUp! interns who were deployed in 22 Districts across Rwanda, More on this here.
To end the year, in December, DOT Rwanda organised a work readiness workshop for its outgoing cohort of MasterCard Foundation interns.
